The Toon Army rolled into Tallinn today determined to wash out the nasty taste of that defeat against Fulham from their mouths - hopefully by witnessing a good win against UEFA Cup minnows Levadia.
A handful of fans were present at the Le Coq Arena this afternoon along with members of the UK and North East Press as they watched the team get put through their paces by Glenn Roeder, Lee Clark and Terry McDermott.
This took place at the home of Flora Tallinn with Levadia Tallinn's Kadrioru Staadion not big enough to stage such a game with just 4,700 spaces on offer.
It has to be said though there has already been a few talking points before a ball has even been kicked, I mean where else would you be able to buy a Mart Poom board game other than Estonia!
Poom of course is playing his very own bored game at Arsenal where he warms the bench these days but it was the grinning former Sunderland keeper that greated Toon fans as they landed at Tallinn airport today, with the ex-Wearsiders stopper a cult figure here in Estonia - his face is plastered on many a billboard around the former Soviet state.
And it's unlikely the Poom game will go down too well with United fans when they get to grips with the club shop here.
However, that didn't stop the Estonian branch of the Toon Army turning up to greet their heroes this afternoon with the Tallinn Toonies bringing along a huge flag to be signed by each and everyone of the United stars.
Antoine Sibierski was also on hand to sign and he could prove to be an important figure in tommorrow's first leg clash of the UEFA Cup first round proper.
One player that won't figure is Steven Taylor, which was highlighted when a distinguished national journalist asked if he would: "be in the frame", to which a chirpy Glenn Roeder replied: "Well he would be if he was here."
During training Emre managed to change his boots a couple of times and the watching Geordie support will hope he has them nice and sharp tomorrow night.
Emre and Shay Given then met the Estonian media before hand on what is classed as a big event in this little corner of the Baltic coast.
Not least by the Levadia's Press officer Indrek Petersoo - a self confessed Toon nut, and it will interesting to see his reaction come the final whistle tomorrow night.
