United fans proudly clapped of their side at the Commerzbank tonight knowing their final tally of 10 points was enough to see them into the last 32 as Group H winners.

Yet the Geordies could have been celebrating a win had Emre finished when he went clean through.
The scarves, though, were still waving by the end.
And everyone in black and white has to be chuffed after a good night's work here in Germany.
