I mean the the wrist-slashing plonkers who've criticised the re-appointment of Keegan and Mike Ashley's upstairs boys. I know their names, and it will be very interesting to see if they do a u-turn or keep their heads down for a while. Even now, if they read this blog they'll be saying, '' Divvent count your chickens Lambert.'' Well lads, I count my chickens, my blessings and my debt every day. Come on Kev, let's get your unfinished business at NUFC back on track, you'll do it son.

No seriously- What a show from the ringmaster supreme, King Kev top of the tree, the comeback kings and entertainers are back with a vengeance.

I can’t help but get carried away with what I saw- lets build, lets buy, from where I was sat, Mike Ashley was having a good time, probably rubbing it in with his Spur’s mates.

We all hope that this banishes any fear of relegation, but I’d be celebrating this result in any season, Spur’s are one of those sides you have to beat to finish anywhere near top half.

It was a joy to see everyone playing for each other and actually getting the ball down and passing it around and making Spur’s run around chasing the game- if this is what Kev can do with a small squad (And an obviously limited squad) then what would he do with a squad filled with the acrobats and Show ponies that he had at his disposal first time round?

I still have a disliking for Alan Smith which simply won’t go away, simply because he just does nothing (No matter which position he plays in) and he is one of a list that needs to be shown the door- Carr, Emre, N’Zogbia, Smith and Ameobi are the list in principal.

If we can get five in to replace them and maybe two more for squad depth, then we might just finish somewhere more respectable next season, with Keegan getting a full pre-season and a full campaign to get his side to play.

I’ve speculated who we need to buy in the summer (Like we all do) but a solid, central midfielder and a left winger are priority, with a centre half that will dominate the back four also a must.

But that’s Kevin’s domain and I’ve said before- there’s nobody I’d trust more than him to do the job.

This club is set for take off- Spur’s have just lit the touch paper.

Do us a favour Radio 5 and try to give KK a little credit - European footballer of the year, former England manager and the man who took us from the foot of to Division 1 to European glory while also playing football that had the nation drooling. He's back and if he gets the players he wants we'll be back where we belong next season.

KK has gradually built in fitness confidance and defiance in his squad and sadly they are all going to be fed up when the season finishes.

Confidence is a wonderful thing. But now that relegation is off the agenda there should be some serious thinking about the squad. There is no doubt that there are some players that are not up to scratch - Barton, Geremi, Cacapa, Carr, Duff and Smith - KK shouldn't let one of two performances mask who got us into possible relegation in the first place. Also if N'Zogbia wants to go let him - both NUFC and him would be better off. The time to start planning signings is now especially as PL status is assured. We don't want to be scraping the bottom of the barrel again come August. can we also once and for all get the defence sorted out!!

I totally agree, you should be able to enjoy the win.

Ive always said i think Newcastle will stay up and on the day you have the potential to beat most of the teams in the league. The players on the team should be competing for Europe (Barton/Butt/Martins etc all top class players).

I cant stand Owen though i think hes the most overrated player in the league, i also cant stand Keegan he's only happy when he has money to spen then he leaves if it dries up.

I am one of those who was not sure he had what it takes but based on the last 3 games it is evident that he has exceeded my expectations. But I still have a point to make about your blog, you should not critize fans that gave scathing comments about players like Butt, Barton etc when they were underperforming that is the right of a fun which includes praising them when they play very well. Anyways KK has them playing like a team let's keep it up and look forward to next year.
