Mersey mission is another tough examination for Big Joe
Big Joe Kinnear has only been at Newcastle United Football Club for five minutes and is yet to take charge of his first game but even he admitted it felt like he'd been on Tyneside for a year already.
That wasn't an admission that he can't handle the heat, Kinnear's tactics seem to be very clever and after all he knows he has nothing to lose in building a wall around himself and his squad as they look to get out of trouble.
And with United slipping and sliding in the relegation zone at the moment life will not get any easier at Goodison Park.
Everton haven't won at home this season but if they think they have problems, they need to look at everything swirling around St James's Park at the moment.
To be fair in the middle of madness that has been NUFC this season, believe it or not, Kinnear seems quite cool about the situation on the field of play.
Again, the ex-Wimbledon boss has nothing to lose and if he doesn't get the job full-time then his profile has already been boosted again.
People know who Joe Kinnear is again and sales on his book will now be on the increase.
Against Everton though it will be back to the matter of trying to stop the rot, something United have failed to do in league and cup in the last five games.
Five straight Premier League defeats would be a record for the Toon since the top flight was revamped in 1993 and some fans would take a scrappy 0-0 draw if they were offered it now - anything that Newcastle can build on is welcome.
Mind you at the rate United have been leaking goals you'd be a brave person to put money on a clean sheet.
Scoring goals hasn't been the problem, it has been scoring enough goals to secure points that is letting down the Magpies at the moment, that nasty little trend also means you have a good chance of going down too.
Yet it would be stupid to discuss relegation in too much depth right now, getting points are what it's all about.
And surely Newcastle can't play this badly all season, can they?
Time will only tell but against an Everton side low on confidence, we'll see if JK can get the veins pumping in the players and get them sweating blood for the cause.
A solid performance is needed, attacking like there is no tomorrow and defending like life depends on it is what Newcastle need.
If they can't do it now, when can they do it?
Over to you lads...

Can you imagine Joe's reaction if this all goes horribly wrong after 3 games and the "vicious" lot at SJP start bellowing "you don't know what you're doing JFK", "taxi for JFK"? Will it be – ‘which one is a Newcastle supporter?’ Umm we all are, “you’re all c***s.” Brilliant.
Enough of the "Big Joe" please Lee, I'm still not over the other "Big" three letter first name disaster.
Could "Big Ash" run a successful bath at Newcastle United??
Just watched Wimblecastle get a draw against the Toffees. An Awful game of kick and rush between two desperate teams, but I guess a point is a point. Had no idea that Everton were so bad and surely there will be no other sides as poor as them to play any time soon. It might be a failure to win that will come back to haunt.
Doubt many people predicted that Everton, Spurs and Toon would all be relegation contenders while Hull and WBA fly high. A long hard winter lies ahead.
