United desperate for points as the yellow balls are back!

By Lee Ryder on Nov 3, 08 12:04 PM

Apart from the yellow ball making a return to St James's Park only one other thing is certain going into tonight's game with Aston Villa - and that is Newcastle United know exactly where they will be if they fail to pick up a positive result.

And sadly for the Toon Army that will be rock bottom of the Premier League table.

We've certainly experienced some bad times since winning promotion in 1993 to the top flight - but being bottom has thankfully never been a regular occurence.

Coming back to St James's Park tonight will be James Milner who finally lost patience with the black and whites in the summer and quit the club.

Many people don't blame him, after all how many times to United try to get rid of one their hardest working players?

But that's gone now and ahead of the game Milner wheeled out the cliche that he hopes United do well...after tonight's game.

That's no good to us mate!

United's need for points now is greater than at any time in their Premier League history and with the yellow balls getting rolled out at St James's Park, it means we are now at the start of a long hard winter.

Who knows where United will be by the time we're back to white balls in the spring.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

When WAS the last time Toon were bottom of the PL?. I cannot remember...has it actually happened?....Im really concerned about the Villa match - O'Neill is a shrewd manager, and of course Milner will be back to show exactly what he can do. Sorry but I think we are still relegation fodder. Ashley will have to balance the books again in January by selling our best players. It was highly significant what Kinnear said about drawing up a list of transfer targets for January - all from the Championship!!. That IS what he said. Mark my words Kinnear is taking us down. January will see our best players gone. Ashley has no hope of selling the Club for a profit in the current economic climate, so all he can do to recoup his dosh is sell players. I so hope I am completely wrong, but if Villa do win tonight there will be much discontent....

This aston villa game is gonna be massive, now were rock bottom, they should ask sir bobby just to walk into the dressing room, this man would inspire anyone, if not they dont deserve to be a professional footballer.
mark viduka has to be ashamed of himself, all the health problems sir bobbys had and he still turns up to watch the toon, WHAT A MAN.
viduka just dont wanna know. he's done nothing for us but still talks about playing internationals, its disgusting.
i don,t like some of the quotes alledgedly coming from jk, i would hope it just is usual anti newcastle drivel.

I fully agree. Since he arrived JFK has just said what he thinks the fans want to hear - The club will be sold next week/ KK and Big Al will be back etc etc. Spin after spin. The latest is that we will all get the truth after the Chelsea match and JFK is going shopping in the Championship. The black cats proved that if you shop in the Championship you end up with a championship team.
