Booing for dummies - but can anybody repeat the Ruel Fox/Les Ferdinand toilet trick?
It's one of the most debatable subjects for football fans everywhere whether it be in the stands, the pub before the game or even on the Metro going to St James's Park. But one thing is for sure the names of Kieron Dyer, Craig Bellamy and Scott Parker will roll off the lips of almost every member of the Toon Army when West Ham come to Tyneside.
Booing opposing players usually comes as part of the season ticket package at Newcastle United with Chris Waddle, Gazza (being struck by frozen Mars bars in 1988), Jermaine Jenas, Titus Bramble and David Ginola all just a few names who have been booed from the word go in previous returns.
If only Bellamy had have been able to keep his mouth shut - he could arguably still be at the club.
Bellamy will never be forgotten by Toon fans, after all he was one of the reasons United were turned into a below average team during 2001 to title contenders and European qualifiers within 12 months.
And who can forget THAT goal in Feyenoord in the Champions League?
It all seems like a pipe dream playing on the big stage at the moment but due to Bellamy's character, he is always likely to attract boos and jeers.
Texting Alan Shearer saying he was slow hardy helped Bellers and taking out Steve Harper after the whistle when he was at Liverpool in 2007 mean verbal abuse is almost certain.
If only he and Graeme Souness hadn't have had the mother and father of personality clashes!
Dyer is also likely to be booed.
Toon fans will always have some great memories of Dyer but sadly there just weren't enough of them and bad memories will always level it all up.
We could be here all day really but that wonderful chip at Goodison Park from KD sticks out in the memory just as much as the punch-up with Lee Bowyer against Aston Villa.
Scott Parker for me gave almost everything at Newcastle, and one incident that perhaps epitomises the Londoner and former skipper is against Arsenal in 2006.
Battling for a 50-50 ball and carrying a knee injury against the Gunners, Parker simply collapsed in a heap after giving everything he had in the tank.
Later Parker left probably mystified why such a big club like Newcastle only seemed to be two minutes away from the next crisis - he just couldn't get his head round it.
But the former player treatment is simply part of football.
David Kelly and Steve Watson are two players who escaped the boos even though he was wearing Sunderland a shirt!
Watto famously was applauded on and then endured boos but just for a laugh though, Geordie humour and that!
Yet you have to give 10 out 10 marks to the prankster that pulled off the warm welcome back to Ruel Fox and Les Ferdinand in 1997.
The pair made a quick dash to the toilets just before the second half started without them after the locks somehow got jammed in both traps.
It meant Spurs started the second half with nine men but the pair eventually emerged after being rescued after yells for help!
The pair were let back on to the field before United scored a late winner through Warren Barton.
Needless to say anybody who manages to lock Bellamy, Dyer and Parker in the toilet will have the freedom of the Bigg Market on Saturday night.
HOW WILL YOU WELCOME THE FORMER TOON TRIO?

« January transfer window could be waste of time for Newcastle United | Seeing Andy Carroll score was a sight for sore eyes »

I thought Parker was great when he started for us, but he went off the boil after his tackle on Bullard. Never seemed the same player after that. It wasn't helped that he was often paired with another 'cautious' midfielder - Butt. It's the same problem we have today. No flair or creativity in the centre of the park; no-one to link up the back, front and wide players; not enough cover for defence; not enough support for the attack. Blame the 'Latin' players all you want, but the real problem (on the pitch!)lies elsewhere.
Having read the recent so call outbond transfer requests the Toon army could be out of breath by the end of the season, the number of explayers whey will have to cater for. I know MA whated to trim the wage bill, but the way the players are wanting to jump ship he could end up with no wage bill to pay, indeed we may be left with YTS bills and OAP pensions to pay. Owen has lit the fuse of abandonment and the rest are following. I am becoming concerned that the players are starting to forget that its the fans who have suffered more than anyone under the Fat boy and Weassel management (with our current manager covering up the cracks to save his job, with comments such as I still hope Owen will stay, yer right can you see the pig going past the moon). The players seem to conveniently be forgetting the averge toon fan on but a glint of their wages stood up and was counted when the club went bad (and the players performed poorly). They say the last year has been hard on the players, I bet it has on ã50,000 a week. The club is in a mess and now that Ashley wants to stay the flood gates are open. I think the best thing we can to is record the boo's and play them over the tannoy at the start of each Match.
I have seen less extras jump off the titanic set than are leaping from the toon ranks at the moment.
I have to say it's nice to be able to escape from the doom and gloom of our current situation and reflect on some of the players from the past.
Dyer was a live wire player but ultimately never fufilled his potential and I was amazed to read that he is thirty years old soon. He used to have to beat a man three or four times and his final ball was never great. And he of course divided SJP by refusing to play on the wing against Boro for Sir Bobby.
I could never understand the animosity that fans felt towards Parker who I though was an outstanding servant for us. He gave 110 per cent every game and didn't desreve to leave the way he did. Out of all the possible 'returnees' tomorrow I hope he gets a good reception.
But to Bellas! A great asset when fit and playing and what Bellamy did was allow us to play thirty yards further up the pitch as the opposition always sat back afraid of his pace adn him getting in behind the back. Bellamy did little worng other than to tell Souness what he thought of his style of football. And who can blame Bellamy for that. I hope he gets a decent reception but I very much doubt it.
I feel the biggest boos might be reserved for some of our players such as N'Zogbia. The quicker we get rid of those players who have no interest in playing for us the better. I personally would crawl over broken glass and play for nothing tomorrow, just to pull on a toon shirt. One problem; I am crap!
Forget any good players coming here. The club has been an embarrassment and in turmoil since this regime took control.Wise is still pulling the strings, and Ashley isn't rich enough by todays standards.
well i for 1 am glad we got rid of all of them. bellers was a d1ck, dyer was a wage burden always injured and as much as parker tried he was as sh1t as the capcha, every time he got the ball he done a little circle and passed back to given.
Another thing jfk took the job when no-one with any integrity or self respct would touch it after the discracefull treatment of kk.
he admited himself that he nearly fell off his chair when he got the call,
saying if he does a good job over the next "couple of games" then gets replaced, it was good for the cv so to speak, a good advert
'joe kinnear football manager, remember me, i can still do it' type thing.
So joes been ashleys yes man, getting his name in the football circles again.
however he has been passing on ashleys contradictive piffle and lies, for a while now and making a fool of himself in the prossess.
BUT make no mistake jfk is no fool,
he knows how hard the football world can be and how easy it is to be cast into the football wilderness, having just emerged from it himself with his lucky break at the toon.
I think the cracks are begining to show though, with his down beat reactions when quizzed on the transfer situation and looks of "im F'ing. sick of this"
when he feels he has done enough for his cv
and doesnt NEED to put up with being made to look a complete idiot by ashley, he'll be away aswell.
Thats if ashley doesn't push him to far and tells one lie to many before then.
THEN WHAT WILL YOU DO MIKE????
APOINT YOUR BUMCHUM WISE??????????
jfk's latest piffle regarding zoggy:
"WeâÂÂre looking into it. If it is true, then the agentâÂÂs being disrespectful. HeâÂÂs never had the decency to explain anything to any member of this football club. ItâÂÂs laughable, to be honest."
When i read this i immediatley thought that if you change the words "agent" for "OWNER" and "member of this football club" for "OF THE FANS" it would be more appropriate.
FOR GODS SAKE LISTEN TO YOURSELF JOE, TALK ABOUT DISRESPECT AND DECENCY TO YOUR FAT BOSS MAN!!!
'Calm down dear, its only West Ham'. Parker never realy lived up to his ludicrous 'as good as Steven Gerrard' (sure he'd thank Souness for that) billing. Dyer just seemed to embodie people's fustration at Newcastle never being able to put out their best eleven. And Craig Bellemy is indeed a d1ck h3ad and should rightly be booed off the pitch (Feyanord or not). As for a lack of creativity in midfield, Charles N'zogbia should sort that out. He's got all the attributes to play as an attacking center mid player with someone behind him to sit. Geremi's not up to much else. That coupled with decent games from the two wingers on their natural flanks and we should have too much for the 'ammers'. 'Bobby More, Martin Peters, Ray Winston, Danny Dyre, Russle Brand your boys took a hell of a beating!'
1-0 Ameombi to hit 50 for Newcastle
I am sorry to be a moan, but we will be beaten tomorrow, half the squad out injured and relying on Amiobe lets are we having a laugh,
This club is in real trouble??????????
We have good players but obviously need more strength in depth. Something Keegan pointed out in the summer and Kinnear has clarified. However i feel a certain deja vu is upon the toon. The manager saying before the transfer window that good new arrivals will come to strengthten the squad then we sit around waiting for Dennis Wise to actually justify his huge salary. From what i can gather all our hopes of players coming in lays in his hands. All ive heard so far is how hes tryed to get rid of our best players. Hes a bad apple and the first bit of transfer business we should do is release him from his contract.
Mike Ashley must know something the rest of us dont about him cause the rest of us know hes useless at buying and selling players(his job). Kinnear will find himself without the players he wants to bring in and know doubt without some of the best players already at the club come febuary. Just like Keegan in September.
GOOD COMMENT JACK TOTALY AGREE
My prediction is that we'll buy nobody of any note then when the window shuts Ashley will blame his pal dennis and either push him into another role or get rid altogether in the hopes of winning over the fans
Is this some kind of 'the apprentice' show. Ashley has strict guidleines that must be followed or 'you're fired'. Ask for too much money, complain about the small squad, critise the lack of transfer funds, play horrible football.
We've had sam and kk fail these tasks and now jk might fall aswell. He doesnt do many post match interviews now, probably scared he'll say something derogatory about the owner or the worlds worst player recruitment system we own.
We've obviously got no money AGAIN and no one of any real significance will arrive. Another 2 points dropped at home to a beatable team.
To show my protest against wise, I sculpted a effegy of him(well it looked like him from the start anyway) from some of my dogs finest garden fertiliser and set it on fire!
Whether this will have any spiritual impact on our predicament I very much doubt!
Danish media reporting,PETER LOVENKRANDS to sign for the mags, remember afew years ago when he nearly signed for us,but his agent at the time got a better offer from RANGERS.
Wow, Bellers certainly asked for his ice-cold reception from the first whistle to his substitution. In between he goaded, fouled, dived, complained about everything. What a difference between him and the consummate professionalism of Steven Gerrard who got cheered off with a standing ovation from every Geordie in the ground. Heck though! I wish we had him back here when MO leaves. We were so bad yesterday, after they scored through our apology for a defence, it looked like a 'hammering' was on the cards. When will someone take Taylor aside and smack his stupid a*se for the goals he costs us. The defence was great until he came back, even with Enrique. That lad is absolutely useless at defending, passing, releasing and moving forward. On numerous occasions he got up on the right wing where a sharp cross was only needed, but every time, he checked and turned backwards, same as Duff. I can only imagine what Owen, Given, Gutierrez and a couple of others must be thinking, stuck in this time-warp...." How the hell did we land here on great money, in a magnificent stadium with incredible fans and a lousy club-structure and a Joke manager?...heck it's almost paradise." Many fans I spoke with yesterday have no intention of renewing their season tickets. ARE YOU LISTENING ASHLEY!!!
