BLOG on the Tyne Live is the ONLY place you can listen to commentary from Newcastle United's match against Shamrock Rovers.

Chronicle chief sports writer Lee Ryder has made the journey to Dublin with hundreds of other Toon fans, and he'll be bringing you his unique take on the action.

It's the first chance the demoralised players have to show they are ready for the start of the upcoming Championship season after all the turmoil at the club.

Chris Hughton will be in the dug-out to direct the troops as Alan Shearer's future remains in limbo during the protracted takeover talks.
