Blog on the Tyne at the Cardiff City match

By Lee Ryder on Sep 12, 09 02:46 PM

I'VE taken the long trip down to South Wales to bring you all the action from the match as the Toon face Cardiff City.

There's lots of sub plots to enjoy, from Michael Chopra facing the Magpies again following his switch from Sunderland, to United trying to take three points off a team who will surely be around at the top end of the table at the climax of the season.

I'll be at the ground to bring you all the colour and drama as we look to cement our position at the summit of the Championship.

There will also be a chance for you to have your say on the game, the state of the club, and the chances of bringing in any reinforcements before the loan transfer window slams shut.

To get involved, come back here from 1.45pm on Sunday or click below to set a reminder.

Watched it on Sky today . We looked solid at the back apart from Colo's late missed tackle which cost Smithy a red card. Ranger looked tired and I think we need some reinforcements up front to help out . Still a quality player , but don't forget he's young and just been on international duty . Strange how there's been no more take over talk . Has Ashley decided not to sell . Whatever the situation , the players are doing well in the circumstances .

I thought Ranger looked good - better than Carroll, in fact. There were a few times I thought we looked a little shaky at the back - a couple provided by Colo and one by Steven Taylor when he went Forrest Gumping downfield and didn't get back. Never thought I'd say this, but Smith will be a big miss. Butt ain't got it any more.

Jose was great again!
