Colo finally proves he can be Top of the Mops rather than Top of the Flops!
Fabricio Coloccini may have cost Newcastle United ã10million last summer but it may well be the cost of an Alice band that finally hands him some respite in his much maligned Toon career.
And a situation that has shades of Darren Peacock's improved form at Newcastle back in the glorious - although trophy-less Entertainers era - Colo finally had a day in the sun in Cardiff by grabbing his maiden strike to take the points against the Bluebirds.
Love him or hate him - his efforts were certainly appreciated as United climbed back to the top of the Championship with a 1-0 win.
The Argentine decision to pull back the Lion's mane from in front of his eyes by using a hair band certainly seems to be paying off.
Back in Peacock's day Keegan paid the sum of 20p for a similar piece of kit and after the heavy metal hairstyle was swept away from his face - his performances soon picked up.
Peacock's ratings went up and although the dodgy defence tag still haunted the Toon, the couldn't have been that bad after finishing second in the Premier League team.
At the moment United are a million miles away from that of course but now that Colo seems to have sorted his Barnet out - is this the start of a run of form in which he can justify his huge price tag?

You cannot see it and Diego in Addidas black and blue - - he looks so miserable - what an inspiration.
Look at Ecuador are there players real so much better?
No! it's there brightly coloured yellow strip. They can quicly see each other and they look happy.
All good armies change their tactics to suit the conditions.
Be happy, bring on the sunshine, be yellow. But never forget the black and white.

We our located next to the ground and the major car and coach park. The train station is a five minute walk over the Bridge.We are easy to find , please just look for all the flags. We aim to serve all fans within 5 minutes of entering. Please dont get squashed into a little venue.. big support means.... a big venue.... AND THATS CLUB METRO.
Didn't expect us to win, especially with Colo as the goal hero, but it's all good so far.

One performance doesn't make up for all the poor ones, and one goal certainly doesn't.
I'm delighted we won and happy for Colo to get the goal but he still got caught out at the back more than once.
Still, this is the season of revelations and resurections and I will always give the lad the chance to prove himself.
Come on Colo, prove me wrong.

said for a while this could be our lucky strip.
I remember many years ago, manure playing at southampton and getting beat at HT. came out in the 2nd half in a different strip and won the game.
