It's a fair old poke!

Newcastle United fans still have plenty of reasons to be cheerful despite the 2-1 loss at Blackpool.

The real beauty of the Coca-Cola Championship is the proximity of the games and in this case with Plymouth making the 818 round mile trip to St James's Park, this not only represents the chance to bounce back but also record one of the biggest wins of the season with the Pilgrims really struggling under Paul Sturrock.

With new boy Zurab Khizanishvili also in the squad after completing his loan move, Chirs Hughton's squad has been bolstered with a new face.

On reflection, Newcastle got what they deserved at Blackpool, they started poorly and eventually paid the price.

If anything this was a reality check but with the burden of clean sheet records and unbeaten runs now gone, United can refocus on the task in hand against Plymouth.

And you've got to fancy them against the Pilgrims who try to turn their season around on one of football's biggest stages.
