Hatem Ben Arfa - you will be missed

When ben arfa was stretchered i couldn't help but feel that his wave was a goodbye a tear came to my eye realising this could be last we see of him hopefully he'll be back playing when he's fit and signs for the TOON!

It absolutely saddened me yesterday to see Hatem in that amount of pain and to see a player that the Toon Army already love, have to be stretchered off the pitch.
You could clearly hear the snap on the TV as well.
Hatem is a player that I couldn’t wait to see play a full season in Black + White, he is clearly a player that needs support of the fans and manager and will excel, something he wasn’t given the chance to do at Marseille.
Now with us, some dirty, disgusting player does this and now he might not get the chance to do it here, but I hope he does!
But I think I speak on behalf of most Newcastle fans when I say

I hope you make a very speedy recovery and hope you come back the same player we all know you are.
I also hope you get a permanent deal with us, and stay for many years to come.

You are loved on Tyneside Hatem.

A great player with silky smooth skills. He didn't deserve to have that kind of career ending tackle made on him by DeJong.

What's the point in having refs if they allow that kind of thing without taking any action?

I hope he'll make a full and speedy recovery and we'll see him playing in a B&W shirt again.

Great to see the Dutch Natioanl Manager take action, he is obviously known for this sort of thing, so why do the FA not know this?? The Man City manager should do the same and the FA this can not keep going on. This type of tackle where the trailing legs is trapping the players standing leg is becoming more common and needs to be looked at asap! If this was one of ManU's star players there would be an enquirey..!

And as for the ref, I hope we don't see him for a while either De Gonk should have been off, the ref knows it and that why I believe he did even get a card - he totally bottled it!! -"well out of his depth" is an understatment: what a joke!

I'm gutted that you didn't even have a chance to score your first goal at St James' Park before a mercenary thug went out of his way to break your leg. I hope that you're back playing soon and have the home crowd screaming at you to play the type of football that you came here to produce.

Remember when you’re down over this, you’re a bigger man than the scumbag who took you out of the game because he was scared of the damage that your skills could do to his team.

You’ve only played in 3 games so far but the fans have taken to you in a big way. You battled to get a move here and you can battle through this, we’ll give you any backing that we can and believe me, De Jong will not know what’s hit him when he plays up here and has St James Park on his back. The crowd will eat him alive and he’ll never forget what he’s done, nobody goes out of his way to injure one of ours and we’ll not let him forget what he’s done.

I hope that the pain goes soon as I know you’ll have a few sleepless nights. Don’t sit about in a room while you are recuperating. Get out and about and see what the North East has to offer and get back soon, we’re all in this together, even if we are not going through the same pain. You can take it from me that we’re all suffering in some way and we’ll all get through this together and we’ll see you terrorising the opposition before you know it.

It seems to me that some of these brutes are so clever at crocking someone, and making it look like an innocent tackle. It is almost an artform. This Dejong/ Ben Arfa affair has become like the elephant in the room, of course the FA know what really happened....they aren't that stupid..........are they? They'd just rather ignore it and hope it goes away. Until the next time. What would happen do you think if the FA actually had the gonnads to do something about it. Something like, make the offending player and/or his club cough up for the injured players wages and monetary recompense to the victims club. Bet that would clean the game up in a hurry.
Perhaps it's time to consider Professional Referee's, make 'em accountable. Sack them if they don't perform to an acceptable standard.

why have the chronicle been so quiet on this when we have so many unanswered questions about the FA's handling of this we have video & photographic evidence that a serial thug has got away with these cowardly attack on players, and to add insult to injury the FA are telling complainants that they are powerless to act as fifa don't like it. this is of course blatant lies as they have it covered in their own rules. i brand the FA as liars and cowards, Atkinson a coward & a cheat, & nigel de jong a thug & also a shameless coward too.
