ALAN PARDEW says he is looking to resolve the uncertain situation surrounding Fabricio Coloccini sooner rather than later.

The defender has been heaviliy linked with a move to San Lorenzo.

Pardew did not want to go into detail about the South American's future today after the 0-0 draw with Norwich City.

But he did say that he will be holding a meeting with Coloccini to get to the bottom of any potential problems.

Pardew said after the game: "We will speak to him next week and look to come to a resolution.

"We will keep it internal."

Coloccini's name was chanted loudly at Norwich as he helped the Magpies halt a run of seven straight away defeats.

And speaking on Coloccini's performance, he said: "He played well.

"We looked better as a team today."
